What is Bitumen?
Bitumen is a semi-solid or liquid hydrocarbon material at high temperatures, derived from the residues of oil refining. It is sometimes known by names such as:
- Asphalt (in America)
- Tar (imprecisely)
- Pitch (in some Arab countries)
